'Firebrand' detail

THE PHOTO:
After driving past these trees for several days I finally had the opportunity to stop and capture them with good light and background (sky). Taken in the same lay-by as the previous toad-stool series between Wairakei and Taupo.

POST PROCESSING:
Lens correction, crop, levels, color balance, USM, hue/saturation.

    It is a stunning autumn photo. Vibrant colour is striking and same time very pleasant. This photo really talk to me.

    This picture has such a wonderful range of color.

    Also, I totally agree how wonderful it is to see something then be able to come back at the ideal time to take the picture. I have been through that issue with tides several times.
