It happened to be Cherry season when I spent time in Dalian - given the volume that they were consumed (and sold), i'm surprised that they stayed in the plate long enough for me to take 'still life' shot.

THE PHOTO:
A ladybird in a flowering tree. Actually there were hundreds on this particular tree so it must be a specific variety. The problem with photographing ladybirds is that, unless you get them early in the morning, they scurry around so constantly that its hard to get a clear shot - this was the closest I got from about 20 efforts.
