'Morning Layers' detail

THE PHOTO:
When I couldn't sleep the other day, and woke up at 3am, I found myself watching the sunrise and had the camera ready to capture the pre-sun light filtering over the rural landscape.

POST PROCESSING:
This photo is waaaay too over-processed, but buggered if I wasn't going to post it after all that time wrecking it. You never know what someone else likes.

OTHER:
Seriocomic has made photoblog of the week (for the 2nd time) over at CoolPhotoblogs.com. Thanks to those responsible.

I don’t agree with you at all.

If you hadn’t have told me it was processed so much I would only have picked a little bit of lighting on the slopes of the hills and that was it.

I love sunrises and sunsets. Pity I’m rarely up for the former.

Ever since you got popular, we’re getting randoms commenting. Not that I don’t like randoms, it’s just we don’t know who they are.
Nice shot mate, although a little halo’y around them trees. You can do better!
    (Just balancing the comments. ok?)

Nat: I’m tempted to put up the original, but it might ruin the illusion.
