Holy Man

Holy Man

THE PHOTO:
We were dropped off at this Buddhist Temple (Wat Preah Prom Rath) in Siem Reap, Cambodia, where this particular monk had spent the better part of his life using donations to maintain the artwork, statues and gardens of the urban temple. Aided by his assistant we were shown around and through the temple with no one else around and then given the privilege of receiving blessings from the senior monk. Quite an experience*.

* Though not one that permeated enough to remember where this was without a lot of Googling and archive time-marking
