Hypogymnia
THE PHOTO:
A lichen, growing on a fence rail. Singled out through the use of shallow D.O.F.. I was quite happy with the post processing in this shot, which was taken late afternoon, with the black and white effect in the blue channel creating a large amount of negative space and added a darkness to the whole shot.

Rotate, Crop, Sharpen, Noise Reduction, 55mm B&W (Blue Channel), Flip Horizontal.
