Missing the Point

My current batch of ‘for publishing’ photos is getting rather sadly low. I have a bunch of similarly themed images that I intend to push through this week in order to not linger on each one.

THE PHOTO:
An agapanthus bulb after a morning rain. Shot with shallow depth of field, the focal point is on the drops – but misses the point of the bulb – hence the name.

POST-PROCESSING:
Preprocessed in Lightroom (bleach bypass, levels, etc). Crop and vignette in Photoshop.

    EXIF:

  • Aperture: ƒ/7.1
  • Camera: NIKON D700
  • Taken: 19 November, 2011
  • Focal length: 150mm
  • ISO: 400
  • Shutter speed: 1/80s
