THE PHOTO:
It’s been a while since the last post – over two months. Gone are the days of daily posting, what with a new job, a 1-year-old, and a new house. Actually this image is to remind me of why i’ve had so little spare time – having a 100 year-old 1-acre property requires significant upkeep and maintenance. This photo is one of a group of stumps from a tree that had decided it liked the driveway more than a tree should – so it had to go. Firewood for next year.

POST-PROCESSING:
Mostly done in LightRoom – crop, sharpen, auto-tone, vignette. Minor adjustments (auto color/tone/contrast) in Photoshop.

    EXIF:

  • Aperture: ƒ/1.8
  • Camera: NIKON D700
  • Taken: 1 March, 2014
  • Focal length: 50mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/160s
