THE PHOTO:
Out of the 20-odd photo’s I have ready for publishing (yay!), this series probably isn’t what I would call my favorite – but they are interesting for the fact that they have little to no post processing, other than cropping.

This shot is in celebration of Queen’s Birthday – taken at noon on the Saturday of the beginning of the long weekend, the Royal Battalion giving their 21-gun solute (which fizzled a bit when one of the four mortars misfired.

This was only one of three shots that captured the split second after firing, before the bang reached me. The only one where you can see the venting at the rear.
