City Palms

THE PHOTO:
HDR photography is an interesting beast, it can either enhance shot’s like yesterdays to allow the detail of shadows to be brought forward, or as in this case, create an almost whole new medium – something between graphic art and photography.

Taken just north of the Parliament building in a private memorial garden, I caught the last part of the blue sky before the cloud cover took over.

POST-PROCESSING:
3 RAW images (-2EV, 0EV, +2EV) merged in photomatix, Tone-mapped to a single TIF, imported into CS3, lens correction, levels, curves, USM, dodge/burn.

As always – let me know what you think.

    EXIF:

  • Aperture: ƒ/4
  • Camera: NIKON D2X
  • Focal length: 12mm
  • ISO: 100
