City Void

City Void

THE PHOTO:
I was lucky to have visited the beautiful city of Chicago in the last few weeks for a work-related conference. This was one of the shots I managed to get as I scurried around the city’s landmarks outside of the conference time.

The photo is of the “Cloud Gate” or ‘bean’ as it’s colloquially known. I chose this shot out of the number I took as I had the mental picture of how this would translate in Black and White as an almost visual void as you look to the city skyline.

POST-PROCESSING:
Lens correction, significant sharpening (and requisite noise reduction to remove sharpening artefacts), black and white treatment (green channel).
