Filigree
THE PHOTO:
I can see this becoming one of my favourite shots. A worn leaf found on the shores of Whakaipo Bay (more shots tomorrow). I named the shot ‘filigree’ for the intricate pattern formation through ramification of the vascular tissue that is exposed when the mesophyll has been removed, leaving the xylem and phloem showing (thanks wikipedia).
