Four-Oh-Five

Four-Oh-Five

THE PHOTO:
The unique clock that sites above the entrance/exit to the Mont des Arts area of Brussels. Hidden from the street-size, one needs to walk underneath the clock and turn back to see it (unless you’re coming from the other direction of course).

POST-PROCESSING:
The original image was very dull and flat, so after straightening the image in proportion and perspective, most of the post processing concentrated on increasing the contrast of the wall while maintaining as much detail in the characters as possible. Given this was a “snap shot” and not a well timed/set-up photo, I had to do what I could with the light.

    EXIF:

  • Taken: 5 May, 2011
  • Exposure bias: -2/6EV
  • Focal length: 95mm
