January Light

January Light

One of the dominating trees in my view south to the mountains. Taken at the time when the rich atmospheric filtered light warms the sky just before the sun begins to set.

Other than the slight haloing (from increase in dynamic range in combination with sharpening) and the blown-out segment in the middle-right, I like the final result of this pre-sunset shot. Adjustments: Crop, Sharpen, Velvia Vision, 55mm Color Grad, Shadow/Highlight adjustment, Color Balance tweak.
