Parked

THE PHOTO:
A car. Parked. In Paris. Juxtopositional elements always catch my eye, so seeing a modern car in an 18th Century courtyard (found in the Les Invalides) gave me pause – and reason to take the photo.

POST-PROCESSING:
It might not seem apparent at first glance, but this has been selectively black & white treated (everything but the car), using the green channel to provide the most even shadow/highlight detail, then tinted to match the original stone color (but more uniformly). Additional sharpening, levels, curves and cropping made the most of the post-processing.
