Singular Softness

Singular Softness

THE PHOTO:
A Rose from the gradens of the Petit Trianon, part of the palace complex of Versailles, Paris.

POST-PROCESSING:
The original shot was never very sharp as it was taken hand-held in a slight breeze, but this also enabled me to enhance the softness and concentrate more on the composition and separation of the leafy background. Crop, Sharpen, Vignette, Curves, Shadow/Highlight and a few more tweaks.

    EXIF:

  • Aperture: ƒ/3.5
  • Camera: NIKON D700
  • Taken: 10 May, 2011
  • Exposure bias: -2/6EV
  • Focal length: 50mm
  • ISO: 200
