Taupo Twilight

THE PHOTO:
The last one from an attempt at a star-trails over the lake before my 2nd battery went flat. Unfortunately it wasn’t until this shot that I realised that I had the aperture too closed (f22 for the previous ones), rendering them too dark. This particular one was shot at f11. I will remember this for the next attempt. Taken from Acacia Bay looking towards the township of Taupo.

POST-PROCESSING:
Crop, Levels, Color Temp, Vignette, Noise Reduction (this is the simplified list of an hour’s worth of processing – but mostly tweaking the aforementioned).

    EXIF:

  • Camera: NIKON D70
  • Taken: 18 February, 2007
  • Focal length: 24mm
  • ISO: 800
