The Wrong Side

THE PHOTO:
A re-working of a shot I submitted for DPChallenge.com. The title of the challenge was ‘Transparency II’. For this shot I simply set the camera on the tripod and used the remote shutter release after positioning myself behind the shower door. Considering the imperfections of the original setup (the color banding of the cuff etc), I was reasonably happy with the 6th place (out of 155 entries) and my highest score to date.

POSTPROCESSING:
Unsharp mask, noise reduction, hue & saturation adjustment, dodge & burn, crop.

    EXIF:

  • Aperture: ƒ/16
  • Camera: NIKON D70
  • Exposure bias: -2EV
  • Focal length: 50mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/8s
