Winter’s End

Winter’s End

THE PHOTO:
It’s been a cold and wet winter in Melbourne (compared to previous years), and I feel I have been hibernating photographically with almost no new material to publish. Today being the 1st day of spring, and the garden coming to life has prompted me to dust off the camera and get outside.

Here’s a miniature daffodil back-lit against the sun.

POST-PROCESSING:
Minor levels/curves, vignette, “Old Polar” filter in Lightroom. In Photoshop, cropped and sharpened.

    EXIF:

  • Aperture: ƒ/9
  • Camera: NIKON D700
  • Taken: 1 September, 2012
  • Focal length: 150mm
  • ISO: 160
